FFA stands for future farmers of America. The Vacaville club was founded in 1932 and is a youth organization made to prepare students to premier leadership, personal growth and career success. Today FFA and agricultural education have grown to encompass all aspect of agriculture, from production farming, agribusiness and forestry to biotechnology, marketing and food processing. This year our chapter received two new tuff sheds, a green house, and some new supplies. We are getting ready for the Dixon May Fair and have 30 pigs and 25 lambs getting ready for auction. Several of our students received their state degrees this year and one of our students got slated for regional office, the first in Vacaville history. |
