Dear Parent or Guardian of a Vacaville High School Senior:

This school year marks the graduation of your child. A customized Senior Ad in the VHS 2011 Yearbook is the perfect way for you to show your pride in your graduating son or daughter.

If you could select a few of the most memorable events in your child’s life so far and capture them as a gift to give back to your child, you would certainly take that special opportunity! Think of all the wonderful memories you have preserved in photographs over the years; the first day of kindergarten, vacations, family reunions, birthdays, religious celebrations and so much more.
When you purchase a Senior Ad in the Ulatis Yearbook your may choose special photographs of your child and add your own heartfelt reflections. You can select baby photos, recent pictures or group shots with family or friends. You provide the pictures and words and we’ll do the rest. Please follow the steps below to order your Senior Ad:

1. Decide on the size ad you prefer:
r $190 Full Page Ad ( 7 pictures, 130 words--suggested)
r $110 Half Page Ad ( 3 pictures, 50 words--suggested)
r $70 Quarter Page Ad ( 1 picture, 40 words--suggested)
r $45 Eighth Page Ad ( 1 picture, 20 words--suggested)

2. Decide on the photo(s) you would like to use. We will crop (not cut) the photos, so dont worry about turning in “just the right size.” Please do not submit very tiny photos as we will not be able to use them. Please note: our yearbook publisher will have the photos until June. They will be returned to you in June if you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Although great care will be given to your photographs, the Vaca High Yearbook does not assume responsibility for lost or damaged items. Please so not send the only copy of an irreplaceable photo.

3. Print or type an original message. Please do not submit pre-published works (unless you have the author’s permission). No questionable phrases, codes, unusual nick names or slang terms will be printed. Vaca High Yearbook reserves the right to refuse any submissions and has complete editorial control.

4. Fill out the order form completely and prepare your check (made payable to VHS) or cash.

5. Bring or mail everything to VHS by October 08, 2010. Be sure to note “ATTENTION YEARBOOK” on the envelope. You must have your order form completed and your check (payable to VHS) or cash enclosed.
Please note: All pictures will be reproduced in black and white. All text will be in the same font, and all ads will have a standard border to give a consistent look to the advertising section. Students design the ads on the computer and they will look good.

If you want a photo to be cropped (a portion left out) simply use a Post-it note on the photo to show what part you would like us to delete. We will not cut your photo. Lightly print your name on the backs of photos for identification. Using a Sharpie brand pen is recommended because it won t damage the photo, dries quickly, and we will clearly see who the photo belongs to.
