Mission

MISSION STATEMENT

The Parent Advisory Council, hereby referred to as the PAC, is a representative group whose primary purpose is to review, advise, and participate in the decision making on matters that affect the parent, student, teacher, and school relationship and working order. The areas covered in the above statement, include, but are not limited to the curriculum, programs, design, staffing, activities, committees, newsletter, and enrichment in all areas associated with E. P. Buckingham Charter Magnet High School.

Charter Schools are based on the understanding that education is a shared responsibility of public schools, parents, community and individual learners. It offers the unique opportunity to achieve their promise through uncommon means, variable times, and learning opportunities not currently available in all public schools. The PAC therefore stands ready to assist the school administration in fulfilling their underlying academic responsibilities. The PAC also serves as a representative "Voice of the Parents", so as to guarantee the spirit of the charter school promise that the parents' rights, responsibilities and teacher-authority roles are honored, encouraged, and supported.
