Attendance Protocol

  1. Students must get a re-admit slip the day they return to school (whether they have that class that day or not).  Students need to arrive a few minutes early so they will not be tardy for their class.

  2. Parents have the option of either calling in their student’s absence (453-7315) or sending a note of the absence with the student.

  3. Absences have to be cleared up within 3 days otherwise absence will be considered "unexcused with a note".

  4. If no note or phone call is made regarding the absence, then it is considered truant.

  5. In the event the attendance clerk is away from the desk, then student should be marked tardy on the attendance roster.  In this event, teachers will  make certain that any notes are attached to the attendance roster for clearance.

Students are not permitted to leave the campus without first checking out in the attendance office.  If a student is ill and calls a parent to pick them up from school, the parents must first sign out the student at the attendance before they can leave the campus.
