About the Ed1Stop portal

Ed1Stop is a web portal connecting VUSD staff and students to subscription-based services such as DiscoveryStreaming. On Ed1Stop, schools can post news, teachers can create bookmarks for students or themselves, and connect to other educational web sites.

ED1Stop Changes for 2007 

BrainPop was removed from Ed1Stop by the county due to rising costs so VUSD purchased subscriptions directly for K-8 schools. The BrainPop link is on your Gateway page.

World Book Online was added to the portal under the Research tab for all schools. For middle and high schools, the version should be World Book Advanced.

Digital English was added for elementary schools. It offers lesson plans and instruction for teaching English Language Arts lessons.

New to DiscoveryStreaming?

Formerly called UnitedStreaming, the service had a name change to reflect their ties to the Discovery Channel content. The first time you connect to DiscoveryStreaming via the ed1stop portal, you will be asked to fill out a short form. You only need to fill out the information for the boxes marked with an asterisk (*). The username and password are not important to remember because Ed1Stop will validate your access without the need of passwords the next time you return (so long as you connect to DiscoveryStreaming via Ed1Stop.) Entering your correct email address is important, however, as DiscoveryStreaming will send you messages regarding the progress of your students if you set up activities for them on the site.

Current Ed1Stop Subscription Services

Each teacher will recieve one log-in for themselves, and one for their students to use from home or school. Once logged in, teachers can customize the page with bookmarks for themselves and decide on the bookmarks for their students.
