Our program at Vacaville Unified School District is an exemplary model of differentiated instruction that is driven by the classroom teachers at our ten elementary schools. The students are placed in cluster groups and enriched with materials that may be accelerated or presented in greater depth and /or complexity. Our GATE Students are challenged at rate commensurate with their abilities that is determined by their classroom teacher daily.

This year with the change in funding from the state we remain committed to delivering three Elementary Enrichment activities with the caveat that the budget and funding continue to change daily. This school year the Gifted and Talented Students will embrace the environment and living ‘Greener’, continue explore languages from around the world, and even reach for the stars through investigations into the world of Astronomy. Once again, VUSD GATE will ignite learners throughout the district via competitions and activities such as FIRST LEGO League, Odyssey of the Mind, The Festival of the Trees, Novel Knowledge and the Academic Talent Search Program.

Our Middle School Students continue to build connections to FIRST LEGO League and Odyssey of the Mind Competitions.
